For all other leagues, the AGA webcam rules are optional, but players are strongly encouraged to follow them if their opponents would like to use them. FAQs

What if I do not have two cameras?
Apply the same rules as above. The side camera as pictured in the rules takes priority over the face-facing webcam. One camera is mandatory for the A, B, and C Leagues. If you have the ability to use two cameras it is encouraged.

What should I do if my opponent is not following the camera policy (in A/B/C League)?
Players in A/B/C League are obliged to abide by the camera policy guidelines unless both players agree not to use it. Please ask your opponent to adjust his or her setup so that it follows the guidelines before starting the game. If your opponent refuses to do so, do not start the game and let the TD know. The TD will adjudicate the situation on a case-by-case basis and may issue penalties if necessary.

If either I or my opponent don’t use a camera, may I report my opponent if I suspect they used AI assistance during the game?
If either you or your opponent did not follow the camera policy during the game, you waive the right to formally report your opponent for suspected AI assistance during the game and have a full AI review process as outlined in the AGA Fairplay Online Go Tournament Rules and Procedures. You may still alert the TD of your suspicion, but there will not be a formal review process of the game. Please do not hesitate to ensure that your opponent is following the camera policy guidelines before the game begins. If there needs to be a review of a game, the TD will perform a review of the game and respond to the allegation. The decision by the TD is final.

Should I record the match?
Players who are following the camera policy are encouraged to record their matches in the event that there is an investigation for suspected AI usage following the match. The TD will use the video recording to assist with adjudicating the result. By playing in the A League, B League, or C League, players consent to having video calls of their matches recorded by their opponent and made available to the TD if necessary.

I only have a laptop and do not have a second webcam. Can I use something else as a second camera?
You may use your phone or tablet to act as the second camera to record yourself.

Video Call Service Time Limits
Some services for calls with webcams have time limits. This list tracks what is available for long calls that will be needed for playing go against your opponent. This list will be updated when there is new information for a service.

Jitsi: This is now the recommendation for those who do not have a paid edition of Zoom. Jitsi does not have a time limit and is easily accessible as a browser-based application (there is also a mobile app).
Zoom paid edition: This does not have a time limit
Skype or Google Meet: These do not have time limits. Many of you have gmail and can use Meet to connect with your opponents.
