Team argentina

The final of the 9th Pandanet Go Latin American Team Championship was one of the most exciting moments of the 7th Latin American Go Congress held in Quito, Ecuador during the first days of November.

The teams from Mexico and Argentina reached this stage after finishing first and second, respectively, in the online league phase.

The final match was played in a three-board format with the teams made up of:

Argentina: Fernando Aguilar, Gonzalo Pereira, and Aníbal Gómez.

Mexico: Emil García, Sebastián Ríos, and Jorge López.

The Argentine team won a resounding 3-0 victory and was crowned Latin American champion of the Pandanet Latin American League for the first time in its history.

The victory represents a historic milestone for Argentina, which, despite having reached previous finals in past editions, had never before managed to win the title in the face-to-face final.
